The Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: A Beacon of Hope

The Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation embodies stories of strength, resilience, and compassion. Their mission? To create Ireland’s first “Tranquillity House” – a ‘home away from home’ for families of those affected by CF. Panda have proudly supported the Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by providing skips and skip bags throughout the build.

Dreaming Big: Tranquillity House

The Julian Benson Foundation has a big dream: to open the doors of its very first Tranquillity House in November 2024. But they can’t do it alone. With your help, they aim to:

  • Provide essential support to families affected by Cystic Fibrosis.
  • Offer a comfortable space during times of need.
  • Help individuals with Cystic Fibrosis overcome daily challenges and setbacks.

This journey has been over 50 years in the making, and together, we can ensure it has a hopeful and beautiful outcome.

Doing More: Donating 25 Skips

At Panda, we believe in making a difference—not only through our support of the JBCFF but also in how we manage waste responsibly. Since January 2024, we’ve proudly contributed to the Foundation by donating 25 skips and collecting;

  • 4,900 kg of wood
  • 35,350 kg of bulky waste

All of the waste materials we collect are recycled or recovered, ensuring nothing ends up in a landfill. We are committed to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact, which aligns with our core mission of creating a greener, cleaner planet.

  • The wood is carefully processed and repurposed into useful materials, often being transformed into energy or new products.
  • The bulky waste includes large items such as furniture, building waste and appliances. We make sure these items are either broken down for recycling, recovered and processed into SRF or given a new life through recycling with organisations such as WEEE Ireland.

By handling waste this way, Panda not only helps the Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in their mission to build Tranquillity House, but we also ensure that our environmental footprint is as small as possible.

Help Us Reach for the Stars
